Between France and Italy
Nice nestles between the sea and the mountains, at the back of the Baie des Anges, and offers an exceptional setting. The old town centre, a lacework of squares and baroque churches brings an Italian touch while the Promenade des Anglais breathes the traditional charm of 19th century villas. Since this period, Nice has always attracted painters, as you can see in the beautiful museums dedicated to Chagal or Matisse. The castle’s hill offers a beautiful panorama on the city and the Baie des Anges.
